Can we enter as teams for the timed run?

This is an individual entry system, but of course, we welcome teams and partners running together.

Ticket prices vary for each event, as each location has a different offering for participants. Please visit the individual event pages for ticket prices and information.

How much training do I need to do for the timed run?

What will be at the festival locations?

Each event will have an event village. We encourage participants to bring along spectators who can come and enjoy the festival whilst you take on trail running workshops, yoga sessions and trail runs. There will also be lots of opportunities to learn more about trail running and hear from trail running experts. Parking, food and drink retailers and toilets will be available in the event village.

When do I get my race number?

In the Peak District and Box Hill, there will be timed runs, but these are not classed as a race and therefore we will not be issuing race numbers. Timing bands will be issued so you will be able to check your time post event.

In Edinburgh, there will not be a timed run, but the opportunity to take part in a 5km, 10km and 20km guided run.

How will my time be recorded?

In the Peak District and Box Hill, there will be timed runs. These are not races but timing bands will be issued and information available post-event regarding checking your time for the run. 

What time will the timed run start?

In the Peak District and Box Hill, there will be timed runs. The start times are subject to change but are currently planned as a 4.30pm start for the 20km run and 5.30pm start for the 10km run. 

Can I get a refund if I cannot make the festival?

Refunds are available, but only 30 days prior to the event. These must be requested via your Eventbrite account. 

Can I bring along friends, family and supporters?

Absolutely we welcome all supporters. At each festival there will be an event village where people can find out more about trail running, enjoy food or drink and watch the participants run or get involved in a workshop. Your supporters can enter the festival free of charge.

Is there water along the run route?

Water stops will be placed along each route, these will be displayed on the route maps.

Where can I see the run route?

Each timed run route will be released six weeks before the event and available via the event page.

What is the minimum age of participants?

You must be 16 years old and over to enter the timed race. There will be a children’s trail run at each event, timings will be communicated in the pre-event email.

What are the Terms and Conditions of the Salomon Trail Running Festivals?

Refunds

 

You are eligible for a full refund (minus the online booking fee) within the 14 days cooling off period from the day of booking.

 

Note: The cooling off period does not apply where a booking is made within 14 days of the event date.

 

Any withdrawals after the 14 days cooling off period will not be eligible for a refund.

 

Route Amendment and Cancellation Policy

 

Salomon will host the best and safest events possible.  In the event of circumstances beyond our control, which result in potentially unsafe conditions Salomon Events will either:

 

Amend the run course to make the event safe.

or

Where conditions cannot be made safe, cancel the event.

 

Where the event is modified under condition 1 above, no refund will be applicable. In the event of a cancellation under condition 2 above, competitors will be offered a Salomon product to the value of the event entry.

 

Where possible, we shall give at least 24 hours notice to any potential amendment or cancellation.

 

No refunds will be offered if cancellation is due to an unforeseeable natural disaster or ‘act of God’.

 

Safety requirements

 

If you’re still on the run course after two hours, a marshal may ask you to leave the course or require you to wear a head torch in order to finish the course.

 

You must be 16 years old and over to enter the timed run.
